Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Michelle! I’m a physiotherapist from Ireland and have recently relocated to Perthafter spending some time travelling. I’m excited to be joining the team at Kinima Physio and bringing my experience to the local community.

I graduated with first-class honours in Physiotherapy from Ulster University in 2020 and began my career in the NHS, where I gained invaluable experience across a variety of settings, including ICU, surgical wards, accident & emergency, stroke rehabilitation, and orthopaedics. This gave me a strong foundation in managing both complex and acute conditions.

In 2022, I completed a master's module in long-term condition management, focusing on the best available evidence for treating persistent low back pain. A year later, I moved into private practice at Donegal Physiotherapy & Performance Centre, where I refined my musculoskeletal skills. I worked with a broad range of clients, from those recovering from surgery to athletes aiming to return to high performance.

I love working with people, getting to know their individual goals, and helping them get back to the activities they enjoy. My particular interests lie in lower limb rehabilitation - especially knee injuries, including ACL reconstructions and total knee replacements - as well as hamstring injuries and tendinopathy management. I take a hands-on, evidence-based approach to rehabilitation, ensuring my clients feel supported and confident throughout their recovery.

Sport has always been a big part of my life, and I’ve played Gaelic football for years. Now that I’m in Australia, I’m looking forward to learning more about AFL while continuing to stay active myself. I’m passionate about keeping people moving, whether that means getting back on the field, returning to the gym, or simply enjoying an active lifestyle pain-free.
